Yesterday I was digging through the Tivo and found that it had gotten a sneak peak of Wa$ted which is a show about ecological responsibility. I did a google search and found out that his is originally a show from New Zealand, which may explain something.

To start off the show has a good idea to put forth, which I believe is true. Recycle, reduce and reuse and you will save money. That is true, but the way that the show decided to portray people as “eco-criminals”, and their silly ways of showing people’s impact really detracted from the show. The first show focused around the Zeller family that had 4 people and 5 cars, 1 motorcycle and a paper towel addiction. It showed them how to reduce their carbon footprint and ended up giving them some money at the end of it all.

I am going to watch a few more before I decide to keep the season pass or not. Hopefully the show will get a bit more interesting.
