I was watching HBO’s The Wire today and I was on the episode in season 4 where the show focuses on the school system. In this episode one of the girls slashes another girl’s face during homeroom. I have been watching this season and I’ve been really surprised about how things are in public schools. I went to public schools in the 80s and I don’t remember it being as bad as this. Maybe it is HBO playing it up, but if schools are actually like this then I feel sorry for the current generation of kids.
